H-FARM: Pioneer in Digital Transformation Europe 2023

H-FARM (the “H” stands for human) recognises that many teaching methods still used in contemporary education, which were fine as a response to the First Industrial Revolution, are in dire need of a fix. We are witnessing a workplace shift towards more digital and tech-based activity. Education must adapt to help children who will be taking up jobs that do not presently exist. Interactive methods that promote critical thinking are required. Passive learning is passé, and a World Economic Forum report suggests that global GDP could rocket by preparing learners for future needs. H-FARM started investing in startups and new initiatives in 2005, and a hub for digital transformation followed. This represents a new educational business, to explore new knowledge, and a training ground for future leaders (from early years to post-graduate level). H-FARM is investing in the likely scenarios of tomorrow rather than making do with what we have today. H-FARM International School encourages young people to be internationally minded (rather than simply expatriate), and confident, creative and collaborative. Study locations are in Venice, Vicenza and Rosà. H-FARM College offers an academic pathway that goes way beyond the classic classroom. University and post-university courses are available, as are executive programmes. H-FARM Labs&Camps make learning more fun for children and teenagers. BigSchools offer vocational training in coding, cybersecurity and several fields of digital arts. With 3,000 students now enrolled, H-FARM’s goal is to create startups that have good social impact (that “h”). The 2023 award for Pioneer in Digital Transformation (Europe) goes to H-FARM and is well deserved.
