Founded in 1982, Crédit Agricole CIB Finland forms part of a group with Nordic operations and an international business division. It works with corporate and institutional clients across Finland, an export-driven and innovation centred-country. It offers a comprehensive range of corporate and investment banking services, including structured finance, international trade and global market solutions, with a specialization in sustainable banking. The bank has a dozen employees serving some 30 core clients, enabling personalised and highly responsive customer care. Crédit Agricole CIB Finland takes pride in the positive impacts engendered through its operations. It recently took a leading role in a €1.2bn financing package for a new bioproduct mill that produces 1.5 million tons of pulp, generates 2.0 terawatts of renewable electricity and creates significant employment opportunities in northern Finland. On behalf of the State Treasury of Finland, Crédit Agricole CIB Finland has acted as the Joint Bookrunner/Joint Lead Manager on €18bn government bond transactions since 2019. Crédit Agricole CIB Finland is one of the largest Nordic players in the green bond market, exemplified through its role as Joint Bookrunner in a €1bn green bond deal for one of Finland’s largest credit institutions Municipality Finance Plc. This deal represented the largest Green Bond in the Nordic SSA market to date. The bank has proven expertise in debt capital and convertible bond markets, having served as the Joint Bookrunner for more than €2.2bn in corporate deals in recent years. Crédit Agricole CIB Finland has developed billions in long-term commitments through core corporate lending facilities, including sustainability-linked term loans and revolving credit lines. The CFI.co judging panel presents Crédit Agricole CIB Finland with the 2023 award for Best Corporate & Investment Bank (Finland).
