In 2023, CRC Credit Bureau Ltd embarked on numerous transformative initiatives to enhance its core infrastructure, service capabilities, and security measures. A key milestone was the implementation of advanced security protocols, including a Cloud Web Application Firewall, significantly bolstering data protection. The adoption of a hybrid cloud strategy, leveraging AWS Local Zone in Nigeria, enabled seamless scalability and improved performance. Continuous optimisation efforts of the core application SB2, in collaboration with Dun & Bradstreet, further elevated user experience. Additionally, CRC introduced the CRC B-C-B API, facilitating secure credit data requests by third-party service providers, and launched CRC RaaS (Reseller as a Service), integrating CRC services into member institutions’ applications. The relaunch of the CRC mobile app provided users with convenient access to their credit reports, promoting financial literacy and informed decision-making. The expansion of CRC’s institutional network by approximately 200 new members highlighted the trust and confidence in CRC’s services. Educational webinars were conducted to foster credit awareness and responsible financial behaviours. CRC received notable accolades, including the Best Credit Bureau in Nigeria and the Best Customer Service Award at the West Africa Innovation Awards. Surpassing over 100 million records in its database marked a significant achievement, enhancing CRC’s capacity to deliver actionable insights. Active participation in industry events underscored CRC’s commitment to thought leadership and industry engagement. The CFI.co Judging Panel congratulates CRC Credit Bureau Ltd on winning the 2024 award for Best Credit Bureau (Nigeria) given these remarkable achievements.
