SegurCaixa Adeslas: Best Insurer Spain 2026

SegurCaixa Adeslas

Spain’s private health insurance sector has faced higher demand, rising utilisation and pressure on care costs, conditions under which SegurCaixa Adeslas has strengthened both scale and profitability. Total income reached €5.95bn in 2025, up 12.5 percent, while net profit rose 31 percent to €560.7m. Health premiums of €4.358bn and a 32.4 percent share of the health market give the company’s performance particular relevance in a segment where cost control and service capacity are increasingly linked.

Prevention has become a practical operating choice rather than a branding theme. The company has moved beyond a reactive indemnity model towards earlier intervention, structured health and lifestyle plans, and accompaniment across different life stages. Initiatives include paediatric and women’s health content, specialist webinars, open health resources, and the Active Health Awards, which have involved more than 6,000 participants over 5 editions.

The Adeslas App illustrates how digital investment is being applied to access and continuity of care. With more than 2m downloads and over 1m monthly visits, it supports health plans, teledermatology within 48 hours and a Digital Health Centre that is adding specialisms including endocrinology, digestive health, gynaecology, psychiatry and traumatology, with appointments available in less than 72 working hours.

Product development adds a further layer of execution discipline. Plena Total and Plena Vital Total address changing health needs, while the MyBox multi-year proposition combines broad cover with unchanged premiums over 3 years, supporting customer certainty and underwriting visibility.

These results point to an insurer using bancassurance reach, segmentation, prevention and digital service delivery in a coherent way. The Capital Finance International (CFI.co) Judging Panel congratulates SegurCaixa Adeslas on winning the Best Insurer 2026 Award (Spain).
