BNP Paribas Asset Management: Best Multi-Manager Investment Solutions Global 2026

BNP Paribas Asset Management

Completion of the AXA Investment Managers acquisition on 1 July 2025 gave BNP Paribas Asset Management a broader base in long-term savings, followed by the January 2026 rebrand that brought the acquired business under a single asset-management identity. Scale is material to the judgement. The combined business had more than €1.6trn in assets under management at 30 September 2025, while its specialist multi-manager unit oversaw €35.6bn in unit-linked products and services at 31 December 2025.

Open architecture remains central to the multi-manager proposition. Manager selection is not confined to proprietary funds: internal and external managers can be chosen from across the investment universe, subject to a four-stage investment process assessing manager quality, consistency, risk controls and portfolio fit.

Insurance-linked savings place particular weight on diversification, cost awareness and accountability through market cycles. The multi-manager model addresses those requirements by combining centralised investment oversight with the ability to tailor portfolios for different distribution, regulatory and client contexts.

Multi-manager operations across more than 10 countries in Europe and Asia provide a practical test of that model. Local teams support product design for differing client needs, while investment standards remain anchored in the specialist team’s due diligence and portfolio-construction discipline.

Responsible investment is treated as part of manager research rather than a separate claim. ESG criteria are integrated into the investment process, and dedicated portfolios can be developed where client objectives and mandate design require them.

The result is a scaled, well-governed multi-manager platform whose growth has been achieved without diluting selection independence or specialist judgement. The Capital Finance International (CFI.co) Judging Panel congratulates BNP Paribas Asset Management on winning the Best Multi-Manager Investment Solutions 2026 Award (Global).
