Arval: Outstanding Contribution to Sustainable Corporate Mobility Solutions Europe 2024
Arval, a leader in fleet management and mobility solutions, has demonstrated a firm commitment to sustainability through strategic innovation. Operating in 29 countries with over 8,600 employees, the company launched its ambitious “Arval Beyond” plan in 2020, extended by the new strategic plan “Arval 26 & Beyond”. This demonstrated a shift in the company from being a car leasing expert to a specialist of corporate mobility. The ESG pillar of this strategy focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fostering alternative transport solutions, including electric vehicles, carsharing, and bike leasing.
The group has accelerated electrification efforts, surpassing market growth rates with the number of BEVs in its fleet rising by 52% in 2024. Arval aims to have 400,000 fully electric vehicles by 2026. Arval Connect, its telematics tool, enhances fleet efficiency and emission monitoring, while flexible leasing options encourage EV adoption. The company’s investments extend beyond fleet management and influence mobility ecosystems by engaging with body shops and garages to drive sustainability.
Arval is also actively involved in industry research through its Arval Mobility Observatory, gathering insights from more than 8,000 businesses annually. Arval Energy, a recent initiative on vehicle-to-grid technology, explores how electric cars store and redistribute renewable energy, thus optimizing electricity usage. Additionally, engagement with organizations such as the United Nations Global Compact and membership of Smart Energy Europe association reinforce its sustainability credentials.
By pioneering innovative mobility solutions and supporting clients through the ESG transition, Arval is shaping the future of corporate transport. The CFI.co judging panel congratulates Arval on winning the 2024 award for Outstanding Contribution to Sustainable Corporate Mobility Solutions in Europe.
