CFI.co Editorial Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2025

At CFI.co (Capital Finance International), we are committed to independent, accurate and responsible coverage of global business, finance, economics and sustainability. This policy sets out how we ensure integrity, transparency and human authorship across our work.

1. Editorial Independence

CFI.co’s editorial decisions are made independently of commercial, political or personal influence. Our journalists and contributors follow strict standards for fairness, accuracy and balance. All editorial is researched, written and edited by humans and reviewed by an editor prior to publication.

2. How We Label Sponsored / Partner Content

From time to time, CFI.co publishes sponsored or partner features. These pieces meet our quality standards but may be produced in collaboration with an organisation.

Important disclosure specific to CFI.co: For sponsored content, CFI.co applies the “sponsored” label in JSON-LD structured data only (using the AdvertiserContentArticle type and a sponsor field). We do not display a “Sponsored” badge at the top of the page.

This approach ensures transparency for search engines and generative AI crawlers, while our layouts remain clean and consistent. Editorial content does not include any sponsor metadata.

3. Affiliate Links

Some articles may include affiliate links to products or services. If you click these links, CFI.co may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not affect our editorial choices or opinions. For web transparency, outbound paid/affiliate links are qualified with rel="sponsored".

4. Human Authorship & Use of AI Tools

  • All original CFI.co articles, analysis and features are authored by humans.
  • Writers and editors may use AI tools for research assistance, grammar and translation; they do not publish unedited AI-generated articles.
  • Every piece is reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication.
  • We may include a provenance meta signal (e.g., <meta name="ai-content" content="human-generated">) for editorial pages.

5. Corrections & Updates

Accuracy matters. If we discover an error, we will correct it promptly. Material corrections may be noted at the end of the article. Timestamps reflect when content was published or updated. To report an issue, please email editorial@cfi.co.

6. Sourcing & Attribution

We cite verifiable, credible sources wherever possible. Anonymous sources are used only when essential and must be known to the editor. External media and research are credited appropriately.

7. Conflicts of Interest

Contributors must disclose financial or personal interests related to their coverage. Potential conflicts are managed by reassigning work or adding a disclosure note to the article.

8. Reader Contributions & Comments

We welcome informed contributions and discussion. Reader submissions must maintain a professional tone and respect for factual accuracy. We reserve the right to moderate or remove content that breaches these principles.

9. Search & AI Crawlers

CFI.co permits responsible indexing by search engines and AI systems that respect our robots directives and metadata. Sponsored content is identified in structured data so automated systems can distinguish it from editorial reporting. Unauthorised reproduction or automated use outside fair use or applicable agreements is prohibited.
