Behind the golden puff pastry and freshly made sandwiches Greggs have always been committed to having a positive impact on people\u2019s lives (HAPI).<\/strong><\/p>\n Greggs leads by example in Sustainable Development Goals 17 (SDGs) through global partnerships and is taking part in a related scheme with the British Retail Consortium (Better Retail, Better World).<\/p>\n Greggs social responsibility programme has five areas of focus which are currently being developed to fully integrate the UN\u2019s SDG\u2019s. The five areas of focus are;<\/p>\n Key highlights include reformulating the sweet product range to meet Public Health England\u2019s sugar reduction target \u2013 in 2018 they achieved 17.4% and are therefore on track to meet the overall target of 20% by 2020. Greggs partnership with Fairtrade now in its 14th<\/sup> year has enabled farmers to invest over \u00a33m into their farms and communities. Greggs donates one percent of all pre-tax profits to the Greggs Foundation since the charity was founded over 30 years ago it has given in excess of \u00a330m to make a difference to the communities that we serve. Greggs are proud holders of the Carbon Trust Standard achieving a 14% reduction in intensity in 2018.
