The firm reported investments in projects valued at more than $900 million while Ariya Finergy manages more than 20 MW of energy assets and can reduce client energy bills by up to 50 percent. These figures show execution beyond advisory positioning, linking development, financing and asset management. As described to the panel, Ariya ReEnergy is being structured as a renewable-energy platform for pension funds and insurers with long-dated liabilities. The strategic insight is clear: domestic African capital can be matched with long-term productive assets, reducing reliance on foreign or concessional finance. Leadership has driven this agenda through regulatory engagement as well as investment activity. Ariya works with regulators in Mauritius, Kenya, Namibia, South Africa and Zambia, and has argued for rules that allow pension capital to invest more effectively across borders. The panel noted its selective approach to country entry, based on governance, rule of law and exit risk. Execution examples include Ariya’s co-development of the 586 MW Project Spark in Namibia, a gas-to-power project designed with green-hydrogen compatibility. The project is expected to create about 1,000 construction jobs and about 200 permanent roles. Ariya is also pursuing waste-to-energy investment, including a first project in Djibouti where debt has been secured. The panel also noted political-risk mitigation, including an intended MIGA umbrella cover for risks such as expropriation and exchange controls.
