Headquartered in Singapore, Alta is the largest digital securities exchange for alternative assets in Southeast Asia. Since 2016, Alta has completed over 1,500 transactions valued in excess of US$700 million and has created access for investors to invest in over US$30 billion worth of mandated opportunities globally.<\/strong><\/p>\n Alta allows investors access to a wide range of alternative assets and is helping to increase available capital to drive growth while giving investors new opportunities. According to the judging panel, \u201cThis user-friendly platform with easy trade and price discovery, trade matching and settlements, represents an impressive integrated marketplace.\u201d Alta smoothens the process of trading tokenised assets, improving private markets liquidity and maximising the delivery of alternative assets.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, Alta launched the Income Insurance Share Liquidity Program enabling shareholders of Income Insurance to sell their shares through Phillips Securities. These shares are then sold to and are available on Alta\u2019s platform. This marks the largest listing of a non-listed company on a private securities exchange for institutional and accredited investors to trade and own the shares of a non-publicly listed company. This initiative means that the selling process of shares in this public non-listed company can be finalised in days rather than months.<\/p>\n Last year, Alta witnessed high levels of trading activity on its platform with a \u00a0year-on-year increase of over 300 per cent in their trading volumes. The judges expect to see much more progress at Alta in the coming years and congratulate its many and varied achievements to date.
