(Nova Ljubljanska banka) is a public Slovenian company and a main entity of the NLB Group, a leading banking and financial group with headquarters and an exclusive strategic interest in Southeast Europe. In addition to NLB d.d., the group is comprised of seven subsidiary banks, most of which hold systemically important positions in their respective markets. The bank aims to drive the economic development of Southeast Europe, which it calls home. That sentiment is underscored by the bank\u2019s commitment to shape society and improve the quality of life for all its people. The group\u2019s latest advertising campaign \u2014 #FrameOfHelp \u2014 calls for optimism in the face of uncertainty and pays homage to national heroes who pioneered space exploration and laid the foundations for modern electricity. The campaign aims to inspire regional dreamers to innovate and build a better future together, with emphasis on sustainable solutions. NLB\u2019s sustainability strategy is centred around three pillars: responsible financing, business ethics and social responsibility. NLB was the first bank from Slovenia to commit to the UN Principles for Responsible Banking and has embedded sustainability material concerns throughout its operations. In the spring of 2022, the bank has also joined the United Nations Net Zero Banking Alliance. While other institutions are setting far-off targets for emissions reduction, NLB has committed itself to stop investing in coal after 2020. It offers competitive green credit lines for customers undertaking an energy renovation or passive house certification. In the first half of 2022, the group achieved a 25 percent increase in recurring profit before impairments and provisions, compared to the same period the previous year.
