Kuber Ventures believes in the power of platforms. It facilitates investing administration while affording clients the levels of service and information available for traditional investments. But, as Kuber warns, those platforms must be underpinned by hard data and anecdotal observations for the insights to hold water. Kuber Ventures was launched seven years ago, working with investment advisors as clients and asset managers as stakeholders. Kuber’s easy-to-use online systems provide advisors and clients with the tools to compare tax-efficient investments and build portfolios across multiple products for venture capital trust, enterprise and seed investment schemes and business relief investments. Alternative markets are often marred by high minimums, but Kuber Ventures is a specialist in the area. Its platform allows for lower investment levels, which promotes diversification and allows smaller investors to enter the market. Kuber assumes the burden of production selection, due diligence, reporting and monitoring to arm advisors with regulation-standard investment advice. Kuber Ventures frees financial advisors from the burden of researching and preparing reports, which are often commissioned and paid-for by the companies under review. It has helped to raise £53m in funding to date, with £48m going back to some 500 companies. The CFI.co judging panel approves of the tech-enhanced approach to boost service, as well as inclusive policies. The judges announce Kuber Ventures as the winner of the 2020 award for Best Alternative Investment Platform (UK).
