The ESN has successfully created a pan-European partnership which covers equity research and other services to the benefit of over 1,000 institutional investors. Over the past two decades, ESN has managed to innovate in the equity research market by setting meaningful common standards of cooperation among its Members on capital markets coverage in the main European countries (today 9 members in 9 countries).
CFI.co’s Judging Panel recognizes that as these times require unprecedented transparency and good corporate governance the requirements for timely and trusted analysis reporting are as demanding now as they have ever been.
ESN follows the principle that all members are equal. The Partnership is based on the concepts of “territoriality” and “exclusivity”. Thus, there is only one member per country as each member has full responsibility for the country where it operates. This places extra responsibilities for the ethical and professional standards on each member – as well as the interdependence between members. The evolution of the ESN partnership means that the cooperation now also includes corporate finance in the equity, debt and bond markets.
Giorgio Zancan, the CEO of ESN comments: “We are delighted by the recognition of the prestigious CFI.co finance magazine for the advances (we have made) in establishing the highest ethical and professional standards for equity markets research. ESN is committed to continue to innovate and strive to better serve our institutional investor clients”.
