Mr Balkrishna serves as the chairman of the fast-moving consumer goods company (FMGC), which provides effective Ayurvedic options for every health and household need. Patanjali Ayurved offers more than 1,000 products — each reflecting India’s ancient natural healing traditions — which reach a consumer base of more than 50 billion people worldwide. The company sponsors a regional hospital, a residential educational centre, and a research institute, all geared to spreading the healing powers of yoga and Ayurvedic treatments. The CFI.co judging panel recognises Acharya Balkrishna for his enlightened approach to holistic healthcare, and presents him with the 2019 award for Best Wellness Impact (Global).
